Durgabai Mahila Shisu Vikasa Kendram

This institution was first started in the year 1987 in an extent of 11.66 acres as “Telugu Bala Mahila Pragathi Pranganam”. This institution is being run through Telangana State Women’s Co-operative Development Corporation. Subsequently, the nomenclature was changed as “Durgabai Mahila Shisu Vikasa Kendram”.

ACTIVITIES OF THE DMSVK:

1. TRAINING PROGRAMMES:

   The main objective of the Durgabai Mahila Shisu Vikasa Kendram is to give training programs to Widows, Orphans, Drop out candidates, Jogins, Destitute, and economically backward women who are in dire need of support.

2. PRODUCTION UNITS:

   Turmeric unit:

   This institution secures raw turmeric and converting into powder and supply to all Govt. Residential Schools @ 160/- per kg.

Planning to start the supply of Mirchi powder and Dhaniya powder to all Govt. schools as soon as possible.

WORKING WOMEN’S HOSTEL:

Working Women’s Hostel is functioning at Subhash Nagar, Nizamabad since June 2001.
