About The Department:
The industrial Policy 1977 contained the concept of District Industries Centre (DIC). DIC program was initiated on 1st May 1978 as a centrally sponsored scheme. It was a landmark measure in development of cottage and small industries in smaller towns in India. DIC’s were started with a view to provide integrated administrative framework at the district level for industrial promotion. It is aimed at providing all assistance and support to entrepreneurs in various states. These centres are responsible for effective promotion of cottage and small scale Industries at district level. These centres also to provide support facilities, concessions and services to develop tiny, cottage and small scale units.
Department Activities:
The activities are includingvarious clearances, permissions, approvals etc from various departments on single window basis through TSiPASS portal, Granting of incentives for various activites, Implementation of PMEGP scheme, conducting of entrepreneur development program, conducting of awareness campaign, Allotment of Raw material, Rehabilitation of sick units, marketing assistance & Advices the entrepreneurs on investments.
Scheme Details:
- ATS-iPASS(TELANGANA STATE INDUSTRIAL PROJECT APPROVAL AND SELF CERTIFICATION SYSTEM)
The Telangana Government has enacted the “Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) Act, 2014” (Act No.3 of 2014) for speedy processing of applications for issue of various clearances required for setting up of industries at a single point based on the self-certificate provided by the entrepreneur and also to create investor friendly environment in the State of Telangana. The Govt. of Telangana is facilitating entrepreneurs in getting all proposals for establishing an industry through TS-iPASS which is made online. The website is as follows https://ipass.telangana.gov.in. The applications will directly route to concerned departments through online and the clearance will also be issue online.
- B.T-IDEA & T-PRIDE:
To promote Telangana State as the best investment destination for investors in India, the State Government has offered various incentives/benefits to all eligible new industrial enterprises set up in the State under T-IDEA (Telangana State Industrial Development and Entrepreneur Advancement) for general.
- T-PRIDE:
The State Government is offering various incentives/benefits to all new Industrial enterprises set up by Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and physical challenged entrepreneurs in the State under the T-PRIDE (Telangana State Program for Rapid Incubation of Dalit Entrepreneurs).
- PMEGP:
Government of India has approved the introduction of a new credit linked subsidy programme called Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for generation of employment opportunities through establishment of micro enterprises in rural as well as urban areas. PMEGP will be a central sector scheme to be administered by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), which will be implemented by KVIC through 3 agencies viz; DIC, TSKVIB, KVIC and financial assistance provided by various banks.
Progress report fro the 2017-18 F.Y:
TSiPASS:
For the 2017-18 financial year, (99) units have been applied for (217) approvals. In which (163) have been approved. (38) Are rejected.
Incentives:
For the 2017-18 financial year, 138 units have been sanctioned for incentives with Rs. 2,90,46,516/-.
PMEGP:
Under this scheme, 35 units have been sanctioned by various banks with margin money of Rs.1,26,21,000/-
